FIA proudly supports Varsity Against Violence (VAV) in raising education and awareness around domestic violence. Through various fundraising initiatives, VAV has assisted local organisations in providing essential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Earlier this year, Finance Industries Australia raised funds for Miracles Day 2021. Today, eight-year- old Suman is just one of the previously disadvantaged children now able to see the faces of her family, play with her friends, and resume her studies at school. She is no longer confined to a lifetime of blindness, inequality and poverty – thanks to the sight-saving surgery and prescription glasses she received, at an eye hospital in eastern Nepal. We feel so privileged to be part of this miracle and its profound impact, which has changed this little girl’s life, forever.

We are proud to announce our 12-month sponsorship of the Horse Whispering Youth Program. Our sponsor horse, Gemma - a magnificent chestnut mare - will be leading equine-assisted DV workshops to empower participants through the important components of building and instilling resilience, confidence, connection, coping mechanisms and control.

The FIA Team has donned red T-shirts and taken-up the Financial Services Blood Challenge 2021. This festive season, we have registered our very own Lifeblood Team, and are banding together to make a life-saving difference and give the gift life. Celebrating the women behind Finance Industries Australia When it comes to gender equality, there are a few reasons why women may not be advancing in the field of finance, as quickly as men. The lack of role models has been cited as a significant factor. Without more women paving the way, those entering the industry may find the path more challenging to navigate or may not even know there is one. Anne Marie is a key driver to the business and inspiring mentor (in particular) to the FIA female staff complement. Starting as a receptionist with the company six years ago, today Anne Marie holds the titles of Head Broker, as well as Office Manager. Under her guidance, FIA female staff members are moving up the ranks from Customer Service positions, through to Financial Broker roles. At FIA, we are for advancing women in finance and breaking the bias!
